Let it Snow

Hope you guys are enjoying the colder weather, as someone who hates the heat but thoroughly enjoys the snow- my wildest dreams have come true! And in case you were wondering, I 100% played out in the snow this past Friday ??!

I absolutely love the Winter and all things cold, but I know that that won’t be the same feeling as a lot of other Georgians. Even though I was born and raised in this sweltering state, I cannot relate to any care for warmer weather. My thing is, you can always get warm if you are too cold, but it feels impossible to cool off when you’re too hot!

Even so, I was more than surprised when we got snow this past weekend. While I was just starting high school when the infamous snowpocalypse happened, I know we cannot hear the word snow/sleet/ice without mentioning how much of a [redacted] it all was! So let’s take a bit of comfort in having a reason to stay in the house and here are a few suggestions for you and your friends/family to make the best out of the chilly season!

Ice Skating ??

Ice skating is so much fun, even if you don’t know how. Half the fun of it all for us non-winter-Olympians is trying not to fall while laughing your butt off with your friend who is surprisingly and exceedingly better on the rink. The activity is very much a practice of not taking yourself too seriously, and can be more affordable than you think thanks to a few quick Google searches.

Host a Hot Chocolate Party ?

Maybe you’re more of a homebody, and ice skating presents itself as entirely unpleasant. Inviting your favorite people to your place to enjoy delicious hot chocolate and binge-watch a new show may be the perfect thing for you! The Popcorn Lady offers a delectable Hot Cocoa Bar where you’ll get the best toppings like marshmallows, chocolate chips, caramel, whipped and more.  You could also choose one of our gourmet recipes like “The Aztec”, “Smores”, or “Santa’s Favorite”! Check out the drinks section here and be the cool friend that serves up hot drinks!

Outdoor Activities Around Atlanta?

If you want to get out but don’t want too much physical activity, Atlanta is the best place

to find cool things to do to take your mind off the cold. We have been a part of some terrific events this winter season, one of them being the Carnival Night at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens! There were beautiful light displays to see while enjoying fun treats. There are also a lot of winter markets and events in Georgia, you’re sure to find one that piques your interest!

If none of this floats your boat, how about some delicious popcorn or cotton candy delivered straight to you so you can cuddle up with your favorite blanket? Check out our prepackaged or rentals options and you can bring tasty treats straight to your doorstep!

No matter what you do this time of year, here at The Popcorn Lady we hope you and your loved ones stay safe and warm ?
