The new year brings about a lot of event planning and one of the many things we pride ourselves on here at The Popcorn Lady is that we make your event planning as easy as possible. We are a one-and-done company, so we provide everything you need to make your event great. We bring the food, the machinery, the tables, the napkins and cutlery, and even the decorations (if you’d like)!
For 2025, we strive to continue to take the stress out of planning events, and give you more time to enjoy the new year and make your resolutions happen! I am a big fan of resolutions, as I think it’s always good to be working towards something or trying to maintain a healthy habit. Resolution is just a fancy word for goal, so why do so many have trouble sticking to them? Take some tips from your favorite popper on how to keep your word year-round ?

Be Realistic
I feel like the number one reason people don’t meet their resolutions is that they shouldn’t have made them in the first place- don’t shoot the messenger! You hear so many people create resolutions as if they’ll wake up on January 1st with an entirely new personality, daily routine, or habit-forming skills. It takes an average of 66 days to form a new habit, but you’re banking on being the chosen one who needs only a week… you and I both know that’s probably not gonna happen. So let’s be realistic! If you want to have a bangin' new body in the new year, consider a resolution of working out at home twice a week. I guarantee, no one worth listening to will care if you’re in a gym or in you’re living room.

Be Specific
If you’re having trouble being realistic, you probably need to work on being specific too. When you make any resolution, the more detailed you are the more likely you are going to stick to it. I try to make resolutions that leave no room for me to weasel out of it. The more vague a goal is, the easier it is to find ways to avoid it, or not accomplish what you initially intended to do. Be as specific as possible to make goals as easy as pie or funnel cakes!

Be Prepared To Pivot
No matter how much you try, you can not plan out every aspect of life and stick to it- life just happens and you have to roll with the punches. Who knows whatcha gonna get into this year- good or bad (but here at The Popcorn Lady, we are crossing our fingers that it’s only good!)! *Remember: No rule says you can’t change or edit a resolution.* Maybe you realize a couple of weeks into the new year that you fall asleep during meditation or trying to read a nonfiction book every month makes you want to rip your hair out. And that’s okay!
The Popcorn Lady salutes anyone trying to better themselves in the new year, and we hope you achieve all that you set out to do. Remember- Be realistic, be specific, be prepared to pivot, and eat more popcorn?
